Anna Field

Anna joined the team in September 2025 as a qualified youth worker and has a huge amount of experience in setting up and running youth provisions in Wantage, Bristol and Lambourn. Anna is also a qualified teacher and worked at New College Swindon teaching within the health and social care department in recent years. Anna is passionate about supporting young people as they transition from childhood to adulthood and is committed to providing youth sessions that are inclusive and engaging.

Anna is also Mum to four amazing daughters and a proud Nanna (Nanna Anna) to a growing number of grandchildren.

Vicky Stretch

Director

Vicky joined the Centre in November 2024 with a wealth of experience in running holiday clubs and youth programmes. Vicky believes that the Youth Centre should be youth led, ran for and by the young people of Hungerford. As well as supporting the youth workers to run the 8 different youth sessions, Vicky is responsible for the smooth running of all elements within the Centre, including grant applications and funding reports.

Josie Bridges

Youth worker

Josie has dedicated her whole career to caring for children and young people and joined the Centre when she moved to Hungerford in 2024. With 2 teenagers herself, Josie knows first hand what young people want and need from the youth Centre.

Charlie Barr

Chair of trustees

Charlie has been involved with the Youth Centre since September 2011, originally through volunteering for the toddler group Ladybugs. As she learnt more about the Youth Centre and its activities, she fell in love with all the good work which happens here and the possibilities the Centre holds. Charlie’s enthusiasm for community projects is relentless, with a special emphasis on those benefitting young people.

Jude Hodge

Treasurer

Jude has lived in Hungerford for over 10 years, and during this time has volunteered for many local children groups and charities, including Ladybugs Toddler group, Playgroup, Hungerford Primary School PTA, Brownies and Guides. As a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor, Jude enjoys helping support local community groups using her finance skills, mainly in a Treasurer role. She is however also keen to volunteer to make a difference to the community and specifically local youth services, so they can continue to operate and thrive, as they all contribute to make Hungerford a great place to live. As well as supporting groups as Treasurer, Jude enjoys spending time exploring the local countryside as part of a local walking group.

Derek Alford

Town Council representative

Derek was a full-time youth worker, in his younger years he went to the YMCA Nation College in London and gained a Certificate in Youth and Community Work. In 1981 he was Deputy Warden at the Docklands Youth Centre in Hainault in Essex, on the outskirts of London. Then In 1984 he became the Youth Worker at Kings Way Youth Centre in Bristol. He ran the Youth Centre until 1987. He has volunteered for youth groups like the Duke of Edinburgh scheme throughout his adult life. Now that he is retired, he enjoys volunteering for the Youth Centre and is keen to support activities and projects for young people in Hungerford and the surrounding areas. He is also a Councilor for Hungerford.

Kelly Leigh

Trustee

With a background in marketing and project management, and with her experience in digital Kelly has joined the board of trustees to support the promotion of the centre. She currently works as the digital delivery manager for Red Whale, a small company who deliver online medical education. She has lived in Hungerford for 10 years and has two girls. In her spare time is enjoys running and has a passion for nutrition and healthy eating.
