We’re so excited about the new surface, it’s been top of the youth volunteers’ wish list for several years and, twenty three tonnes of tarmac later, here it is! As many a grazed knee will testify, the tarmac had become terribly old; it was breaking up and children were skidding on the loose gravel, landing on rough, jagged ground: ouch! At last, thanks to funding from Greenham Trust, Hungerford Town Council and Broadmead Estates, we were able to commence works.
