Hungerford Youth and Community is a small charitable organisation dedicated to improving local services for young people. At the beginning of an exciting new phase of development and growth, we are seeking a capable, passionate, hardworking person to become Director of Hungerford Youth and Community Centre.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for excellent running of the Youth and Community Centre, to promote inclusion and create opportunity for young people to meet their potential, stakeholder and partnership development to enhance services, and management and capacity development of staff and volunteers. Director of Hungerford Youth and Community Centre is an interesting and varied position with tremendous opportunity to create real change by shaping outstanding provision for young people in Hungerford and surrounding areas.

The role is perfect for somebody who wishes to make a difference, someone with a real passion for community work and particularly with young people. The successful candidate will have excellent administration skills, with a good aptitude for relationship building and empathy. At a time of change for this small organisation, we are seeking somebody with commitment to the role, who will work strategically to implement a wide range of programs with success.  Ability to work alone and as part of a team, excellent communication skills, self-motivation and IT skills are all a must.

Our Director of Hungerford Youth and Community Centre role is 22 hours a week, at a starting salary of £24,700 pro rata. The role is based in Hungerford and will require occasional evening work. We particularly encourage applications from women and people of colour.
